GAR Erg-A-Thon

GAR is rowing to Gainesville, GA! This year the Southeast Regional Championship Regatta is being held in Gainesville, GA, and GAR is ready for a strong showing. With nearly 66% of our boats finishing in the Top 20 at Head of the Hooch, we are excited to compete in this event where we can qualify to go to Nationals. To raise money for our program, our rowers will be erging a combined 612,000 meters which is the distance from Gainesville (FL) to Gainesville (GA). They will attempt to do it across 6 ergs in 10 hours. Middle school, high school, masters, and coaches will all be contributing to the mileage! Can we complete our goal? The event will be held at Cypress Grove (1001 NW 4th Street, Gainesville, FL) on December 14, 7am to 5pm. If you are local and would like to see what an erg-a-thon is all about, come by and see us!!
