It is always nice to hear from the alumni! I am a parent of two rowers. One, VM, just graduated tis year and the othre, VW is a sophomore.
We will be having an alumni party in January at the Boathouse–stay in touch to hear more!

I am glad to see that the GAR tradition has continued over the years. I graduated from Buchholz high and from GAR in 2003 and moved to NC. I am now married and still have a love for the sport. I am glad to see that the team is strong and has lasted over the past 7 years and seems to be bigger now than it was when I rowed and coxed all those years ago. I see you have the Jim Moran picture of the WV8 from that year on the main page and that was a very exciting and memorable time for us. I have the book on my coffee table where I show it to everyone:)! I hope to stop by sometime when I am in town next, but once again, I am glad to see the the teams success over the years!

Had a lot of fun, although for someone with performance anxiety it was a lot of stuff thrown at you at once. LOVED it though and I plan to take the class later in Sept. Only suggestion is explaining the terms prior to being in the boat. I don’t know anything about boats and it was a little challenging.

Yes, the National Learn to Row is definitely happening. It will be on June 5th from 3 to 7pm. There are 2 sessions avaible- 3p-5p and 5p-7p.
