| First Coast here we come!!
If this is your first regatta, please read the information in the handbook found on our website www.gainesvillearearowing.com this will give you valuable information that may enhance your experience!
Directions to First Coast in Jacksonville can be found on our website at
All rowers need to be at the race site by 6:30 am. Please plan on leaving Gainesville by 5:00 am with any rowers you are driving. Rowers are NOT allowed to drive themselves - they must ride with an adult.
Rowers will need to bring:
Nalgene bottle (Gatorade and water will be provided for filling up)
Approximately $5 cash for lunch (we are not allowed to cook at this venue, but lunch will be for sale)
If your rower would like a Regatta T-shirt, they will be on sale for approximately $20
GAR will provide bagels, granola bars and fruit for breakfast and snacking.
Don’t forget about the CARBO FEAST at the boathouse on Friday night. All food should be brought by 5:45. Please remember to mark your containers for easy return. GAR will provide the paper products and Gatorade for the rowers.
We will begin feeding the rowers promptly at 6 and hope to be cleaned up and done by 6:30. This event gives everyone a chance to make sure that they have a ride and directions to the race.
